Something about me.

I am a watercolour painter and run a painting group in the village where I live. We meet in our Methodist Church Hall on Friday mornings, where you can learn to paint in watercolours. Or, if you are a painter already you are also welcome. When the weather is warm enough we like to to go out and, mostly locally, sketch, paint and draw. By doing this you can learn just what sketching is, it is not drawing! Currently we have fifteen members and among them some good tea / coffee makers. All this costs only £ 3 per week for hall hire etc. If this appeals to you and you live in the East Herts. area (materials can be supplied if I know you are coming), or just come along and see what we do. If you are a painter already then you too are welcome. One young lady who often attends is a professional artist and works freelance for, among others, the Lea Valley Wildlife Centre and several similar organisations. This summer we have had four members move from the area, but at least they did come back to put paintings in our first, and very successful, village art exhibition. Successful because we had lots of visitors and lots of favorable comments and sold at least nine Pictures !! You can get in touch at  don.linda@ntlworld.com  or 01920 424497. Most of my work is through commissions and recommendations from satisfied customers. I am also an R.S.C. member of the S.A.A .and, running our painting group is good fun for all of us.
